Watching the pundits' commentary and the pure arrogance among these Dems on every issue going, particularly immigration. No illegals should ever be sent back on the proviso they haven't committed crime is official Dem policy. There are 10/11m illegals currently in the States and huge abuse of the visa system in general, many by people who come here and forget to go home yet the Dems' message to these and anyone else thinking about abusing the system: don't worry about it, keep your head down and eventually they'll be a pathway, not just to legality but full citizenship for you. No wonder there's been record turnout in so many primaries for the Republicans

What do you think should be done with 10 to 11 million illegal immigrants?

I did see the bit about once you are in you are home and free.

Quite how that relates to the black vote is interesting.

Cool. I look forward to your seeing the other side of the coin from your unexplained "anyone but Clinton" position in this thread.

That's 1 part of the problem - visa abuse also a problem. Too many people come here and take the piss, people come here on estas for work purposes, for example. That's not right but it's swept under the carpet

Sending out the message it's fine to break immigration law is a dangerous path to go down for a country where so many think immigration is already out of control. How Dems can be shocked at the rise of Trump given their position on immigration just highlights the parallel universe many of them live in

That's fine but you really didn't answer my question, namely what would you do with 10 to 11 million illegal immigrants?

Send them back so they can come back in legally

How do you propose to "send back" that many people? Obama has "sent back" 2.5 million in a little over 7 years and that's more than any other president has.

I thought that was a very interesting debate that was pretty well moderated. Good to hear questions on both immigration and Cuba. Deportation - or lack thereof - is going to be a big election issue.

Oh, and for Jerseygirl who didn't watch the debate, there was a relatively little "shouting".

So boring, every Dem debate has been the same. Clinton is too scared to demonize Sanders' supporters, who she hopes will vote for her at the general, to actually tear into him on policy and call them what they are, while Sanders is just a massive wet blanket on every issue going. A particular disappointment in these Dem debates has been the lack of foreign policy debate, neither of them have any plan on Syria and ISIS beyond what is happening already

I agree, the Democratic debates are pathetic; no substance, lack of leadership, no plans for the issues facing the greatest country in the world. There is zero enthusiasm, just a couple of old bangers talking bollocks, eh!

I want the Democratic candidates to show a wee bit more intensity, put up a show entertaining me and enticing me to become part of a revolution offering real solutions to the problems at hand, and show respect to the real Americans who deeply care about this country. I want them to tell me things as they are, no sugar coating, no PC BS, no phony shyte, just be open and honest with me. How can I trust the Democrats and pledge my support if they can't tell me the size of their nob, if they can't tell me how they would get rid of the illegal parents of the phony American kids, if they don't have a plan to carpet bomb the evil Muslims and kill their families. If they can't ridicule women, how can I be assured that they have the balls to stand up for my rights in front of the Chinese and Russians?! If they can't even stimulate the supporters to extend right arms in the air confirming their pledge, how would they be able to motivate the troops as the commander in chief?! If they can't call a battlefield failure/captured prisoner, a loser, how can I trust them that they would be able to look after the proud veterans of this great nation?! If they can't safeguard me and my family from the rapists and criminal Mexicans, how can I trust them on national security?! Democrats just talk nonsense during their debates, and doesn't resonate with the feelings of the patriotic Americans, hence the reason, I will never support them - they can piss off; I'm supporting the one and only true patriotic political party in America!

I'm not privy to the nuances of immigration law, nor have I ever worked in politics so I can't answer that but you'd think a sovereign country with the resources that America has should be able to figure it out. You don't need to hire Himmler to spot an illegal in America, car washes employ them, Mexican restaurants employ them, hire a cleaner to come clean your home as my mother in law does and the chances are they're illegal. I'm sure the federal government could identify millions of them if they so desired
