Fidel...or Raul? 😊

They are saying he was rude...but to me it seems she was at fault. Were there other instances that I haven't seen when he rudely interrupted her...or is she playing the victim card again?

I saw it. It seemed pretty mild to me, and it was the commentators who played it up, not Clinton. Compared to the utterly disrespectful slug-fest in the R debate, this was very, very civil. The D debates are so mild, the networks have to try to spin up something. BUT - if Trump tries that stuff on her in the real debates, it could really play into her hands.

If it were Sanders v Trump, I would give a real, good long look at Bloomberg. From the little I know right now, he'd probably get my vote out of the three.

I do like all of them (well, I like Booker and I've seen one or both of the Castros ... I can't tell them apart, being identical twins and all :) ). Eloquent, enthusiastic, funny. Booker is super awesome to watch. President Booker ... sounds good! 2020?

I agree. It seems like you can't be dismissive of a woman like that as it's seen as rude and sexist (contrast how Diamond Joe debated Palin and Ryan). But by the same token, Clinton can't raise her voice as it will be seen as shrill. It's all so stupid, but you don't want to turn voters off.

If you want to see sexist abuse of female candidate -- check out Clayton Williams vs Ann Richards. Unbelievable.

I don't think any of this applies to Bernie nor should it stick. He is an open book and clearly treats women as equals which is all that anybody should ask for.

Agreed, and you would like to think that Clinton would tell her hired scumbag David Brock to stop trying to make it an issue. I doubt she will though.

She does mention her attempt at healthcare reform during his presidency but I think that's fair play. She literally was given the "job" of reforming healthcare and she was absolutely savaged for it at the time. She did all of the heavy lifting, and took all the shit, so I think she should be able to list it as her own.

Either way, whether we agree with the fairness of it all, it's going to happen in the general election. The Republicans will not be as (mostly) polite as Bernie has been.

As I said to Axe, there is no fairness in politics, and Clinton can't really take the moral high ground as she is doing a good job of distorting Sanders' record. And I don't think that's a particularly bad thing, it's all part of politics.

As for the whole healthcare thing, is it really a good idea for her to play that up as an accomplishment? I mean she failed, badly. As Clinton is now touting herself as someone who gets things done, it's not a good example.

That's what won her the NY senate seat from Rick Lazio. They were arguing about something and he walked over to her podium. He was seen as 'threatening' her...she played the victim card. If that had been male on male nothing would have been read into it. I lived in the NY Tri State area at the time and that clip was shown over and over again on TV. His ratings dropped like a stone.

Clinton seems to do nothing else but shout during the debate and rallies/meetings. Admittedly her shouting voice isn't shrill...just extremely annoying. :D

Lazio broke the debate rules walking over to his opponent's lectern waving his "pledge paper" in her face as she was speaking. He was an idiot and would have been called for it regardless of his opponent.

I don't recall much shouting in any of the Democratic debates. In fact, the contrast with the Republican debates in that regard is quite marked.

Shouting over the Bern, and going well over the time limit.

If you want shouting, I suggest you watch the Republican debates. That's shouting.
