Cruz, how can you just so blatantly ignore the issue of hundreds of thousands of orphans and what to do with them?

So you and Boiler are seriously saying that if it came down to those two you'd vote for Trump?

My vote is between me and the ballot box...always has been...always will be. One thing is for certain I would never, ever vote for Clinton.

This is the tenth Republican debate already. I can guess what they're going you say before it's said. (Not least Ben 'passive-aggressive comment about not getting a question' Carson).

So the answer is, if it came down to Trump/Clinton, she would vote for Trump, or not at all, since she would 'never ever vote for Clinton'. That is pretty scary.

Trump again asserted, strongly, that Planned Parenthood has helped 'millions and millions of women ... in situations such as Cervical Cancer ...'.

and he said, we must retain the 'pre-existing conditions' element of Obamacare.

So as much as I don't like him, I'm still sadly going to say he's the best one up there.

As Leslie said, he may not be the worst guy in the world - he'll bring in a bunch of advisers and be pragmatic, which is a whole lot better than Ted Cruz, who is an idealogical nightmare.

I only caught bits of it; I'm going to watch a recording shortly.

And where is Leslie? She's using live posting during these debates!

Tonight's GOP debate, there was blood everywhere! In my opinion, Rubio has won this one, totally flattened Trump, wow . Gov Kasich would make a good conservative President; makes a lot of sense on debates and seems a reasonable lad - Trump may pick him as his VP during the presidential campaign.

Trump is a lot of nuisance, and utters bollocks most of the time; however, the more I listen to him the more I feel that the guy is just playing clever to win the nomination and the election respectively. Once in, he is most likely to govern like a pragmatic liberal socialist, but you never know what to expect from a person like him!

Not that I would vote for him, but I suspect that Trump is just trolling and wouldn't actually banish the Muslims, build the Berlin Wall Americano or do any of that other nonsense. That actually makes him preferable to Marco Rubio who would be more mild-mannered but probably more vile.

But I doubt that he will be the nominee. If he doesn't have a majority of the delegates when going into the convention, then the convention will be brokered. If the establishment has its way, it will be brokered at his and Cruz's expense.

When Trump sparred with Cruz on healthcare, Trump stood his ground and stated that he would refuse to allow anyone in the country to die on the streets. You could see Cruz visibly deflate in that moment, and Trump even received a warm applause.

For all the bollocks he comes out with, you can tell that he at least cares.
Cruz on the other hand would throw his granny under a bus to get an inch closer to presedential power.

Surely at this stage he will just run anyway as an independent?

A guy with an ego like his - having won several primaries by landslide, and having say on top of the polls consistently for nine months - is not going to sit in the sidelines whilst the politicians try and fix it their way?

And if he did run it would be a disaster for the GOP. Will they not be worrying about that at the convention?

I hasten to add that I wouldn't vote for him either!

If there is a brokered convention, and Rubio is 'anointed', then that will have a few interesting consequences. 1) it will really piss off a lot of Republicans, and pretty much guarantee a democratic victory (no complaints here); 2) it may push Trump into a 3rd party run, which again will pretty much guarantee a democratic victory.
