Re: 2016 Election
I'd like to throw out something for the wise people on this thread to think about. Namely, if the FBI recommends that Hillary be indicted but the Justice Department, on instructions from Obama does not indict. As a result, the Director of the FBI resigns in protest, along with some of the attorneys who were leading the investigation. I'm assuming Obama won't let her be indicted, no matter how obviously appropriate that would be.
What effect do you think this would have on the election? Does this hand the nomination to Sanders? If not, how does it affect Hillary's run? Since I'm not "Ready for Hillary" and can't think the way her followers do, I'm really interested in seeing how her people work this through. |

Why are you so certain that she should be indicted? That seems like an awfully premature judgment at this point.

Re: 2016 Election
It's odd that conservatives are poisoning the Clinton well right now rather than waiting for her to get the nomination. Taking her down in the middle of the race for presidency would be a massive blow to the Democrats. The only logical reason is that they know it won't stick and are just being negative to push down public opinion of her, but logic is not a common element in US politics.

“Don’t you understand that when a fellow like me looks at the landscape and sees the depravity, the perversion — redefining marriage and telling us that marriage is not between a man and a woman? Come on Iowa! It’s nonsense. It is evil. It’s wicked,â€
“It’s sinful. They want us to swallow it, you say. We have to run this bunch out of Washington, D.C. We have to rid the earth of them. Get them out of there. Ted Cruz loves God.†Duck Dynasty person ( I can't use the word 'star') endorsing Cruz |

Does calling to "rid the earth of them" count as inciting murder?

Re: 2016 Election
The Republicans keep ranting on about how bad the country is under Obama but what is "bad" and what is "how"
Compared to Russia and China the country is doing well economically, far better in fact and that probably goes for the EU too. Obama has kept us out of another war and safe domestically Just wait until Trump or Cruz get in and how much you're going to miss Obama See if I'm wrong |
Re: 2016 Election
I see there is an absolute inability of the usual suspects to consider the very likely scenario I presented. Since the Republicans don't control either the FBI investigation or the Justice Department, it isn't Republicans who are in control of that possibility. You guys need to set aside your reflexive ad hominem attacks on me and the Republicans and do some actual thinking for a change.
I believe the only way this ends well for Hillary is if the FBI concludes that she did nothing wrong. What's being considered is whether she failed to safeguard national security secrets within the meaning of Obama's Executive Order 13526 and whether she is eligible for sanctions if that were the case under Section 5 of that Order. EDIT: Someone mentioned that the timing of this is not the best for the Republicans. Fact is, the timing is entirely under the control of the FBI investigators and when they make their recommendation to the DOJ and when Obama decides what to do. The Republicans are on the sidelines. Some might hope that Obama nixes an indictment because there could then be high profile resignations in the FBI and extremely damaging leaks. |

You fail every time. What's worse is that even though you fail miserably, you never acknowledge it. Why should this time be any different? And why should anyone take you seriously when it always ends up imploding and proving you wrong? Those who have batting averages of zero should stop pretending that they belong in the major leagues. |

You already seem to have made your mind up on this despite the fact that there is an ongoing FBI probe privy to way more details than you have. So isn't it you that's not doing "actual thinking"?
Try thinking through what the two scenarios mean for your candidate. I haven't even made up my mind as to which of the Republicans would have the best chance of beating Sanders, Clinton or...Biden?...Warren?...Cuomo? |
