One day, politicians are going to run out of friends who are conservative reality tv stars.
The worst part here is that the family did the classic religious obsessives thing of hiding the crime from police and getting the perpetrator to pray about it. I guess there won't be any more tv series from them any more now that this has come out. |

It says that the police weren't informed until a few years later. I read somewhere earlier today that the statute of limitations had passed by then, which sounds a bit iffy but I don't know if it is different for crimes by a minor.
Public pressure could change things though, fewer people knew about these events before now. |
