But the difference I fear is that Trump's bat-shittery extends to an aggressive foreign policy stance, and he may have a more direct line of control over the armed forces and may choose to fight if he doesn't get his way. Obama, at his core, is a political animal and understands the political rules. Trump just strikes me as crazy enough and naive enough to repeatedly say, 'I don't need your approval' and move ahead. Now, how far he'd actually get I don't know but I can imagine him causing a good deal of mischief. I can imagine ... "I'm your commander in chief and I order you to fly those bombing missions..."

I listened to Trump today and I don't think he has "solutions" at all, just rhetoric that panders to people's fears. When he's asked for specifics, he flounders, because he can't get beyond the rhetoric. But, yeh, this is a guy whose money has allowed him to get his own way so it's certainly concerning that he will think he can do that as president.

He has certainly caused a lot of division, but I would have said the Black population have suffered most, well that is what the stats suggest.

I literally cannot sit through one of his speeches without heaving. It is 80% bragging about how he's doing in the polls and how many people show up at his rallies, 10% making fun of disabled people and/or other candidates (not necessarily mutually exclusive categories), 5% semi-bonkers allusions to some vague, yet FABULOUS, policy stuff-n-such, and 5% waving his dick around by threatening to alternately bomb/jail/deport/imprison some brown people. Anybody who supports this guy needs their head examined.

Which stats would those be?

We need to build a fabulous wall around Trump Towers and make Trump pay for it. After that let him have his little fiefdom then we don't have hear from him again.

You were right before about Christie probably being the best of the GOPshites. But he hugged Obama that one time, so there's no way they'll let him win.

Just to add: some poor bastards at the NYT have had to listen and analyse everything Trump said over a week and came up with some interesting conclusions. http://www.nytimes.com/2015/12/06/us...=politics&_r=1

Probably the stats that previous generations swept under the carpet and tried to ignore by preventing the CDC from studying gun deaths. That now under the spotlight make it seem like young black men are dying more than they used to be either by the cops or otherwise.

Right, Donald Trump doesn't actually even want to be president. Whew. He had me worried there for a while.

Yeah, you know it's a bit crazy when the Dark Lord himself Dick Cheney thinks you're nuts.

Lol, yeh, I was just about to post that!

I will file this "policy" in the same box as deporting 11 million undocumented immigrants.

Once you get rid of all the illegals, Mexicans, and Muslims then there would be much more lebensraum.

The big danger for me is that as Trump goes further and further down the rabbit hole, it makes the likes of Cruz look more reasonable, who is still very far to the right.

Re: 2016 Election

Trump may be a lot of things, but stupid he isn't.

But voters... Well, you don't need to be the world's most clever salesman to get elected. You just need to touch the right spots. A few billion can buy some pretty good marketing tactics. And to add to that, in this case, a "terrorist attack" was a gift...

But his ego is inevitably going to cause his demise (it seems that way, anyway). It's beginning already. But like another said, that could open the door to something just as bad - or even worse.

At this point, I still predict Hillary takes it by landslide, if for no other reason than Republicans' failure to define any clear platform other than being against everything - except that which they are for, which also seems to be unclear, if not completely ironic at times. But Hillary's far from any perfect solution either... Leans a bit too far left, probably solely in an attempt to attract Bernie worshipers. And a lot can change before then...

At least it will be entertaining. It gets more so every day. We shall see.
