It depends on what you think actually drives polls. By all accounts it isn't a true reflection of what the public thinks but rather a reflection of what the public think the media coverage is telling them to think. It seems it is more to do with how much coverage and the type of coverage they get.

I mentally noted that at the time, as Webb's "Lets bomb China" moment.

It wasn't just troublesome, it was bat-shit. Then again, I'm the one who thinks Obama behaved badly by bragging about killing Bin Laden. I'm glad that Bin Laden doesn't exist any longer but I think it reveals a deep well of insecurity when people brag about doing violence.

What's happening with formatting on this site? The last few posts I've made don't have any blank lines, and if I go in and try to edit afterwards, it's even worse - paragraphs run together. I'm pretty mainstream with IE11 ... There should be a blank line above this one. And again ...

It won't let me do italics.
I like to do italics.

Are you using Chrome? CTRL-I doesn't work in Chrome for example, but you can either click on the italic formatting button below 'Fonts' at the top of the message window, or put anything you want to italicize between these tags and that should work.

Test to make sure I'm not talking bollocks ...

I don't know what I'm using ... they've been ****ing around with this computer all week.
Edit to add: I was using the italics button ... that's what didn't work for me.

That certainly doesn't help either.

I think it's still IE. I don't have the spaces between paragraphs either.

I use Chrome, so I have no frame of reference.

When you say no spaces - does my post appear as consecutive lines? Like this line isn't separate from my 'I use Chrome ...' line?

Or this one?

Yours looks normal. It's mine. I enter down to put a space between sentences but when I post it, the spaces are gone.

When you quoted me, the paragraphs aren't spaced either.

I blame Internet Explorer. Standard course of action, right after turn it off, then turn it back on again.

There was an APB about the site having this problem last week (which appears to have been removed) -- it's not you.
