Is your May Extra Hot?

Re: Is your May Extra Hot?
It's been much hotter than usual over the last week.
It usually reaches 30c by the end of May but we have had it over 30c for the last 6 days, only today has it stayed below 30c.
Going back over my records for the last 8 years on only one other occasion have we had 6 30+ days in the month and they were right at the end.
For 4 other years it has been 30+ on 1 or 0 days in the month.
The long range forecast suggests it getting cooler (near normal) from today for about a week and then picking up again but probably not getting as hot as it has been over the last week.

Any ideas on how to fit 20 people inside a small house if it rains?

Orange Weather Alert Remains In Place
.May 17
2012.The Canary Islands continue on Orange alert because of the unseasonably high temperatures being suffered across the islands.
Worst affected continue to be Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, as well as Gran Canaria where a sizzling 41 C was recorded in the island’s interior yesterday.
However, weathermen say there is some relief in sight with temperature beginning to fall back, although the Calima conditions will continue albeit less dense than in recent days.

Calima,... fortunately they don't normally last long.
I recall driving down the M'way in TF, no aircon back then, but I had to shut the car window to keep out the blast of hot air.
Grapes down the East side not yet fully developed, turned into raisins or sultanas on the vines in the space of 24 hours.
Come to think of it a similar thing must have happened here last week.
I had my eye on a few wild fig trees where the fruit was developing nicely.
Looked at them a couple of days back and the figs had turned black, shrivelled up and were knackered.

Talking of hot weather and hopefully keeping on topic to pacify RM for a while , I keep wondering about that great old TV series "It Ain't Half Hot Mum".
I wonder why it doesn't seem to be repeated like Dads Army and quite a few others ?
Is it maybe not considered Politically Correct ?
Surely they couldn't have just dumped it, there used to be some great characters in there.

but yes it would send the fluffy bunnies into real duracell overdrive
too many old series are worth at least one or two trips out again, especially on an Extra Hot May day. But we allow our heritage to be put into a corner or dumped - as with the Goons and Dr Who.
Most of them are dead now. The Professionals wasnt repeated because Martin Shaw refused his permission as it would debase his acting ambitions.
at least you can get old books to curl up with on the sunlounger on that Extra Hot May day.
