God help the poor SOB. He has my sincerest condolences. I only ever did that trip once, and that was too much. He wins the Butch stakes hands down.

For other anoraks, the word tilde can refer to any diacritic in Spanish; for example, the acute accent in José is also called a tilde in Spanish.

exaccerly


what we might call the 'acute' is what the spanish call a 'tilde'


but they don't think of the squiggle on the 'ñ' as a tilde at all................

I see one person has had/will have their house demolished by the authorities.

It would be interesting to know what happened if he/she feels up to telling the story.

That is really sad, I bet they thought everything was ok as well.
