: Worst Bank Manager ever ? unless ?
#16
The Bank Manager I had when I first came back from Oz was good and I didn't have any problems with him......I don't even know who mine is now he's left
What pisses me off now, is I'm buying a house in UK, no mortgage, and I've been with my solicitors for years. Now I have to take in my passport, bills and god know what and with my accountant who is married to my cousin and has known me for years....just to prove who I am and I'm buying it off someone I've known for years....

Another thing don't even attempt to take in any money to the Solicitors in cash i.e. for the deposit!! Most Solicitors now will not take any cash over a couple of hundred pounds due to money laundering procedures. I went into conveyancing when I left school and over thirty years later hardly recognised the system.

It's going to be transferred to the lawyers bank account in cash..... he said the only problem is if I give him the money, and then pull out of the purchase and tell him to hand it over to someone else, that is apparently what can land him in jail......
