What really does grate on me is the amount of publicity these idiots get on the news!!! I am round at my neighbours to have a bbq and they have BBC news on and it is getting 100 airing :curse: If they didnt get this much publicity my feeling is that they wouldnt bother as much to hurt and kill innocent people!!!!

Totally agree, what do we do whenever there is an alert, we tell them what our security is!!!
Don't give them the publicity they crave, carry out security in silence and as you say matters may improve, and they would have no audience to play to.

It's total chaos in Scotland. Big time panic. The authorities are blundering buffoons. Glasgow Airport is closed. Edinburgh Airport is not allowing vehicles onto the forecourt and all departing flights (in the last hour) are delayed. What a nightmare.

My solution is as i advised the silly old woman at manston airport where they have 12 customs officers to handle 1 plane ??

They search every suitcase manually and every hanbag , shoes off , belts off , then they search like there having a grope ..

I said to the old biddy who was rummaging through my case " Dont you think your a bit over the top ?" she said " Well its for your own safety sir " i said rubbish " truth is you are trying to justify your jobs ! checking my case aint for my safety is it ?" She said " Well the other passengers safety ! " i said you know what we should do ? everyone signs a disclaimer you know fly at your own risk and cut out all this crap " She didnt agree of course but that would sort it , just ignore the bombers dont let them create the mayhem they are getting , dont let the news report it , and get on with your life ..

what about this one, another pilot was taking his son a light sabre home from the U.S.A, at the airport they seized it, saying it was a replica weapon. he argued that how can it be a replica weapon, light sabres don't exist, how on earth can you have a replica of something that doesn't exist? they still took it off him!!
