you could try buying online from UK - that's what I did.

Google the following........buy wifi antenna.

that should give you a good site explaining everything. I don't want to name the site as its free advertising for them.

Where I live (Canary Islands), there is an electronics retailer that sells antennas, but they were at least double the online price.

approx 100GBP should be sufficient.

I've got an excellent connection, but if I have tried any around me that my computer detects they are rarely of sufficient strength as to be much use.
It worked fine for me, the only time I lost the connection was when the signal I was connected to was switched of. Bit frustrating at times but it was better than having no connection at all. I knew the person who's signal I was picking up and he was ok with it. Incidentally, I lost the wireless capability on my laptop a few months after purchase so couldn't pick up the internet with my laptop alone anyhow. The Belkin was recommended to me and worked a treat
