Spain has more positives than the U.K for me,
one very important thing to consider is money , unless you have a full time job lined up or funds to support you for a year or more dont bother coming as it will end in misery ,Ive seen it happen on numerous occasions.

YES - It's happening around here a lot. the ROSE TINTED GLASSES are now a dull grey for many... dreamers to the extreme with little research, no plan A or B. they come on a wing and a prayer (140 characters used)

Its worth it for us-feeling at home already.
But we have the income weve always had.

It's been said before many times but you put it very well. No matter where you are, and we know the other factors from language to family etc etc, if your income level dips below what you've become used to, it impacts on your choices in life. To those it's happened to in Spain, it's had extra significance because a financial struggle magnifies other trivial stuff you normally mightn't let get to you.

one of the things my missus loves about spain are the markets, and i have found there is a market practically every day round and about where we are staying in Pego, does anyone know which market is the best, maybe Gandia, as its a bigger town? And can you get the designer copies like bags, watches etc which she loves to buy when shes in Thailand? Personally i hate shopping but one thing i did like when I used to go to Elche market was the little cafes selling rabit stew with safron...........mmmmmmmm

You head South on the N332 and after you have passed the big new shopping complex (La Marina) at Ondara you will see signs for Pedregeur on the right after a km or two.
