thought i would pop in for a swift half.......i am shattered....there is so much to do round here, i cant keep up with all the new friends and socialising. I start my spanish lessons next week so that will take up even more time.
I have twoo of my friends little girls staying with me now for 3 days, then next weekend a friend from blighty, and the coffee mornings and playdates and girls nights out, and sexy nights out with my hubby, and house work, and shopping and my work, and friends night out, this is just exhausing, i have to go back to the UK for a rest!

So good to feel the up beat of your post you really sound as if things are back on track for you, busy, busy, busy that's just fantastic for you. In a previous life I use to run a playgroup/coffee morning it was such a success; so much so that we meet up once a week during the day and once a week in the evening's . The evening meeting meant we could actually have an adult conversation without the children detracting us After a while we tired of just meeting and having general chit chat and started having themed meetings, it is surprising that within one group there are so many women with such diversity and individual experience. We would take it in turns to give a short talk about our lives, our interests, and jobs it really did surprise us all the subjects that we dealt with. The subjects range from living with a deaf child, coping with the death of a child, prison visiting, how to cope with bereavement with young children, adoptions, being a midwife, what being a teacher really means, coming to terms with mental illness, the list just goes on. 30 years on and many of us living in different countries we still keep in touch and thank our lucky stars that we had each other to get through which for many of us was a difficult time living in inner London in the 1970's. What started out to be just a weekly meeting for mum's with children ended up 7 years down the line being a major part of life for so many women. Good luck to you and enjoy your self.

OK Miss Naughty just a quick one with you as we have been out for a great meal and I think I may have had one or two too many already. OH seems eager to get to bed this evening I won't mix my drinks I've had more than enough red wine so I'll just stay with the Tia Maria on ice if that's OK with you.

Sorry boys one for the ladies!
Please girls tell me I am not the only girl our here that has a OH that wears his decent clothes to do major DIY. He has been outside all day re-grouting the swimming pool, just come in to give me a kiss and say he was finished for the day and was going to change into something more decent - DECENT when I looked he had on his newest tracksuit bottoms that I had bought him because he has ruined every pair that he has because he is never going to make a mess!!!!! I think he could tell I was miffed because he has quickly washed them and said "luckily it was only powder" I don't think so it looked like wet grout to me, not even going to look..............
Now that would be enough but just before all this I had been polishing the front room, took all the Knick knacks off the dresser, polish everything and returned all to their rightful places. Turned my back walked away got as far as the door CRASH, CRASH AND MORE CRASH, Ceramic tile that I had bought to send to a friend in America (keeping it there so it would not get broken before I sent it to her) had slipped, knock over the best glass picture frame I had ever seen with beloved grandchildren's photo in it (now in bits in the glass bin) this in turned fell from the shelf onto the sherry decanter (luckily did not brake but then dropped on to the 6 sherry glass's that I had just bought that had taken me nearly a year to find; just what I wanted,.......Broke four of them, glass went everywhere so I had to get the hoover out and start all over again.
Sorry girls just had to vent this, sitting here now with a very large glass of sherry. Well thought I had better drink it up before I had another smashing time.

Mary, no shame please, believe me when I say me and house work do not go to gether, we went out all day yesterday because I could not stand to be in the mess and promised myself I would have to make a start on it to day.
Every day is a Sunday for us as we do not work and all days roll in to each other. Talking about willies, no I can't, yes I will, OH has always got it out because he either has no clothes on or the shorts/trousers he is wearing has a whopping hole in the never region.
Well I must go as I think the yorkshire puddings could be burning, speak soon.

Know what you mean, when using local flour it is hit and miss and I just always go with the picture on the packet, if it has a picture of cakes on the front then I only use that for cakes. I have to be completely honest and say that since I have found the two English shops in Chiclana I only use homepride plain flour for my yourkshires and selfraising for dumplings and scones. I used to think it was me until my Spanish friend said that she agreed local flour would not be her first choice for yorkshires.

When we first arrived I bought Spanish flour, even checked with a local restaurant which one the chef used for his yorkshires, but still they were flat and stodgy, my cakes resembled flat rocks, and pasty, just do not go there! Now, I buy Allisons flour, does the trick, and yorkshires just like I used to make in UK, pastry is melt in your mouth and the self raising flour makes lovely cakes. Did buy Morrisons own brand from Gib last time, and just as good and cheaper, but in Spain I would go for Allisons every time, hubby now happy and given the
