states they have platinum, cotton, tobacco, gold, ferroalloys,
So why are we in Afghanistan who only have wheat, fruits, nuts; wool, mutton, sheepskins, lambskins ? OOps forgot the opium.
You didn't catch the irony in my post about the ironfist did you m8? As for why we're in Afghanistan, see if this article gives you a clue http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/2017044.stm

As for the opium, you might find this article interesting (I've deliberately used a New York Times link to avoid any suggestion of bias). http://www.nytimes.com/2001/05/20/wo...aides-say.html

its normally me that does the irony, and in this instance makes no sense to me.

ten year old articles are of no use to anyone.

Victoria had a problem with Afghanistan, Rudyard Kipling wrote about it, nothing has changed except clicky-ba isnt much use against an IED even in the hands of Pvt Chung.

"When you're wounded and left on Afghanistan's plains
And the women come out to cut off what remains
Then turn to your rifle, and blow out your brains,
and go to your god like a soldier."

Kipling
