I have bought an ipad and an Apple tv for when the satelittes go. Paid for a VPN connection which works fine on my laptop but just is unuseable on the Ipad which is where I need it. Just cannot hold the connection.
Any ideas anyone? Have tried to contact the VPN supplier but they are just not replying to emails and their "live chat" seems hardly existent.

It is extremely likely that we will lose BBC and ITV living in the far south of Spain hence trying to find solution. But this thread is about not being able to a VPN on my ipad air.

Would suggest that if it works fine on the laptop, but not on the ipad, then there is a conflict issue between the ipad and router you are using.. otherwise the VPN would probably also drop out on the laptop also.

How do you know your VPN is dropping out? It may seem an odd question, but I found the same thing happening on my iPad, but it was only the VPN connection in settings that was showing 'disconnected', when in fact I was still connected as my server location was still showing a UK location. In my case the VPN setting was not informing me correctly of the exact situation.
Are you sure you are losing your VPN UK connection?
BTW I tried HMA but didn't find their support good. Tried Astrill and have been with them for over a year now. Support excellent.

We can´t even get in now! Logging in button just goes round and round. Last night it kept switching to show that we were in Spain! When we eventually got in for a short period we tried to view Netflix got n to it but it just wouldn´t play .

You can try the proxyplayer vpn if you want (www.proxyplayer.co.uk) - I use it all the time with no problems. If it still drops out, then you could try renewing you ip address on the ipad
and also try the speedtest app which can tell you your latency

I presume you have configured your router or it's already configured for your VPN?
Anyway, when you say your connection drops out, is it still connected to the UK server when you check on your laptop? If so, you shouldn't need to connect from your iPad manually as when you go online it should be connected to the VPN via your router. The access I have to mine from my iPad is only the same as on my PC. When I've logged in and selected UK on my PC, I don't need to take any more steps on my iPad, it's already done.
Accessing from my iPad, is just more convenient than switching on my PC, but isn't necessary.

Just had a thought, are you connecting from your laptop and iPad at the same time? Maybe you can only connect one at a time?
