I promise I've looked in Free Beer & Wiki, (and tried on various websites too) but I'm having mega problems - I've got a (minute) change of address to notify everyone & not having done it as soon as I got the mailbox I don't seem to be getting any mail
.... However, finding SevillanaEndesa's address, and the Direccion General de Trafico, and everyone else associated with cars/licencing, and house ownership, etc., etc., is proving something of a nightmare. Ayuntamiento, no probs - I can pop it through the door! Anyone any tips/ideas? I'd rather not email because thus far my experience of Spanish companies & emails is they don't read'em!

To be honest I think the short answer to your question is NO! they don't. I do not think you can expect to send all the necessary companies etc a note and hope they process it because they won't, those days are gone.
Now you have to follow their process to get you started - this for DGT (Traffico)

I know from personal experience that ordinary letters, emails and even personally delivered letters are often ignored. It only seems to leave registered letters and redirecting your mail for a year or so.

DGT have a similar option but they apologise for it not working at the moment!

Having (many years ago) worked for a large UK insurance outfit I understand that processing huge volumes of mail is expensive so now most companies work over the phone (yeah I know in Spanish, well this is Spain) We have just changed the details on both water, electric and phone for our rental property for a new renter - all done easily over the phone. Like it or not letters are a thing of the past and in the 10 years I have been here it is a very rare thing to receive a letter from a Spanish company - including insurance companies (in fact I have never had one) except ASSSA.
