Here you go - Windfarms reduce house prices!

May be some truth in that! (llooking at the number of windfarms you see if travelling across Spain)

Well projects like this should help.

http://edition.cnn.com/2010/WORLD/eu...est.wind.farm/

London, England (CNN) -- The world's largest offshore wind farm opened Thursday off the British coast, with 100 wind turbines capable of supplying enough electricity for 200,000 homes a year

The country has plenty of wind in Parlimant what is the number one energy source they could have for free, the country thrives on it.

I love wind farms I think they are of beauty, but its in the beholder.

I love them also.

....though that could partly be down to the fact that four monster turbines are merrily working away for me back in the UK, while I relax in the Spanish sun.

You don't think a newspaper editing a picture to portray a point it wants to make is newsworthy? If the BBC did it there would be an outcry, you and your right wingers would be frantically posting threads about the Leftie BBC and their secret lefty agenda!

Did anyone see Oscar Pistorios giving evidence?

His howling (IMO) was so over the top.

Genuine grief or a hammy performance?

I know which one I go for.

My quick look around the web this morning reveals that most people think he's a trigger happy maniac who should be given an Oscar. I agree with that, I have no sympathy for him whatsoever.

Oh, genuine grief all right, but only for himself because he's up shit creek without a paddle.

Well should be anyway, but stranger things have happened, in the land of Uncle Sam for instance.

Sue Townsend the author of 'Adrian Mole' has died.

She was 68.

I loved the book and series.

But he lived with and had a child with a woman from another race and he was a socialist.
Or were you too young at the time to realise that.

This post is a feeble attempt to start another 'ism' thread.
I also think it is a masterclass as to how not to do it.

Of course the poster will claim it is irony or satire.

Satire on BE, is the excuse people use when their true motives have been shown in a very unfavourable light.

Rather like the paedophile uses the excuse of 'research' when caught with indecent images on the laptop.

To jump from my post about the death of Sue Townsend, to the above post is way to obvious.

There is no need to divert , or manufacture threads to start a racist/bigot/muslim one.

Even bipat thinks there are too many, and that the Spain section is obsessed, because threads that start out on a completely different tack, then become 'anti' threads.

So in the interest of not giving a platform to either group on this particular thread, I will not comment on the way a FICTITIOUS PERSON lived their life.

There are too many threads on the subject, which has been pointed out.
The 2 newest threads were started just to add fuel to the fire.

They were so obvious, added to this thread which I hope will not take root and become another bone of contention, and you can see how the same subject keeps rolling on and on.
