Default Tyre Fitting - Where?

Hi guys. Does anyone know if there's a kind of Kwik Fit equivalent in Spain. We're in the Cadiz area. Where do people go to get their tyres done? Anyone got experiences of this?

Don't know if there's a Norauto near you (equivalent of Halfords in Spain) but your best bet would be to drive around your local Poligino (industrial estate) where you'll find loads of tyre fitting places

Now that you mention the name, I think I know where I've seen one. Thanks for the reply. Just hope their English is better than my Spanish (gotta be!).

There is a Nor Auto (or is it NorAuto) in Sevilla. Had a couple of new tyres there once on a UK car before driving it back and they damaged the wheel trim, which of course was not available here to replace as it was UK spec only and I had to source a new one from main dealer which turned out to be worth about half a tyre. They did reimburse me though. You might find better deals and more careful service in some of the little back street garages. I now know we have one local to home who can fix anything and source anything so long as you give him a few days.

drive round the ind estate first and foremost ad look for a tyre fitters. norauto were really dear when i had the misfortune of blowing a tyre on the
a7, plus legally they shouldnt have changed the tyre at all as it was a different spec to mine and they only had 1 in stock! i took the car back to a local tyre fitters who fitted a full set of 4 for less than their price of 2.....

I have used Euromaster and they came out cheapest for the same tyre. The rumour has it that if you are close to Andorra they are almost tax free so if you have an expensive set of tyres to replace you could do worse than having a few days/Long weekend there, Getting your tyres along with the wine and cheese Andorra is not a member of the EU and enjoys the same tax benefits as better known Monaco.

You can convert the following site in Andorra to English and it gives you their prices and savings which in turn should give you an idea of what you will pay in Spain

www.andorrapneumatics.com

Not helpful to you but there is a brilliant place in Marbella. I couldnt believe how cheap they were when I have had tyres replaced. Just pull in and they do it there and then. Sometimes a wait as it can be busy.
I took my car there once as the sump guard underneath was falling off. And it was banging underneath the car as I was driving!
So I took the car there, as they have the car lifts and they guy sorted it out. Only took 5 minutes just to tie wrap the bugger back on but he did and said it was gratis

Its little things like that that will make me go back there for tyres above anywhere else.

Daft thing is I cant remember the name of the place. Its across from the cemetary. Just has a huge Naumaticas sign.

Sorry to drag this one back from the depths, but I've just had my 2nd and final humiliation in the spanish tyre department! I scoped them out, prepared my crib notes, practiced my spanish and still it was a train wreck! The sad thing is, I know exactly what I'm saying, I think they know exactly what I'm saying, I just don't know what the hell they're saying back to me! Sometimes I think, no matter how much I learn, I'll never understand Spanish conversationally, they're such fast talkers. So, I've capitulated and it's going to have to be Gib. - tried though, I really did.

If I ever get flustered like that, and it does happen, it usually happens when im in some kind of disaster or panic, I just say sorry but please write it down and ill work it out and get back to you in a minute

even if it means writing a questionaire, its another way to do it and have a kind of laugh about it at the same time.

I want two budget tyres fitted today can you do it yes or no, just keep it as simple as that, even if they do rattle on

I decided to get some new tyres at looked around in Jerez. The place I finally went to gave me a reasonable quote. AURGI. They fitted them efficiently in the same place and the staff were friendly even trying their English which was pretty good. If I ever have any more tyre/exhaust etc work I would try them again. They are just near El Corte Ingles on the road out to the airport. http://www.aurgi.com

Good advice, I'll try multiple choice next time, it will certainly be a laugh.
