Quote from the woman complaining......
"As things stand at the moment, children are having to see things they are yet to be taught by their families,' she added."
Its probably two of the first things they remember seeing anyway.

I'd like to be against all (well those under 65) women sunbathing topless. But I'd settle for just being nearby.

Ok.... here's where it's going to get polemic!!!! I have voted in favour by the way of keeping topless absolutely fine. What I object to - and yes feel free to hurl insults my direction - is that in places like Sitges where families holiday side by side with the homosexual community, I find myself in agreement with the quote from JDR's comment.
I like Sitges. I have no problem with gay couples expressing their affectioin in public. But there's a limit. Walking down public boulevards in G-Strings whilst the partners have each others hands tucked inside DOES create a problem for families who have yet to be taught such things by their family.
Whether we like it or not we live in a predominantly hetrosexual society so this is considered the norm - there has to be some degree of responsibility. Forgetting the awful 18-30 type sex resorts that unfortunately exist, hetrosexual couple engaging in similar public displays as I have seen in many parts of Spain where gay couples have carried on would not be deemed as acceptable behaviour.
Whilst I believe in the freedom of choice, it has to be understood that not all choices conform to the publically accepted norm. I like to drink loads of beer in bars. I get drunk. Yet I know when I have to stop what I'm doing because I've passed the accepted line. (Ok - not always but the intention is there
)
For this reason I believe the woman has a point in what she says but about toplessness, she probably is wrong as children are used to topless women. It comes from breastfeeding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
