Re: A thread for those ARGH! moments :(
We're looking for a flat in the UK for my daughter .... we spend a week looking and finally find a lovely 10th floor flat with panoramic views of the city centre, fully fitted out and at the right price in a secure gated communal park.
So I'm ready to put in an offer this morning but do a load of research last night And what do I find Even though young kids nowadays are struggling to get on the property ladder, and these flats are absolutely ideal for first time buyers ...... lenders wont give a mortgage on the flat because it is in a 13 floor block and they dont like the idea of that So thats a quick arrgggggggg from me ..... what chance have young kids got nowadays!!! |

Bought a Prius this morning and the gearstick has a 'b' on it which any NORMAL person would think is the park brake.. I put it in B and car lept forward a little.. Apparently it's a battery recharge mode and there's a button on the dash for park brake.. Asian cars.. god I hate them! argh! |
Re: A thread for those ARGH! moments :(
An ex of mine got followed 100 miles from Stoke on Trent to Doncaster one night when driving back from a friends house alone. Stupid thing is did she call me? Nope. Did she call the police? nope. Nope she continued her normal route after an altication with yobs which took her across a railway crossing as well. Lucky no train was coming. She did however pull up next to a police car and said. "That car there has just followed me all the way back from stoke on trent" Without a word the cop went off after them. Never knew what happened tho.
I do feel like writing a guide for people on what to do in this situation. Ie if you know someones after you then stay on the motorway its safer and cops can get there quicker. I dont think theyd mind you making a call whilst driving either :) |
