ARGGHHHH!!!

Old friend of the family has been in hospital for over a week due to nearly losing his one and only leg! (amputated the other one a year ago)

I get a call at 10:10pm as the ward is now throwing him out as they have waited 4 days for a test to be run...

10 past bloody 10... if that wasn't so bad, I was actually in bed and half alseep forgot my mobile, didnt think i needed it..

Until i got there and the entire hospital was LOCKED - thankfully found a friendly ambo driver to ring and after speaking to FOUR members of staff in the ward who couldn't work out how to speak English, I was finally let in to collect him...

God bless the nhs!!! :(:unsure::unsure::unsure:

Would be funny if I hadn't either made or heard them alllll before :)

Oh and I forgot to mention I had only been back from the airport 45mins before the call.. argh bloody argh!

The best one was on the day he was having the leg off I was visiting and some other guy came to visit and at the end said "well they're have you back on your feet in no time" him fully knowing what was going to happen in a few hours!

Oh well I tried.

Your mate helps make up my favorite statistic though.

"Expressed in whole numbers the average person has only one leg, but owns five matched pairs of shoes"

Poor sod tho, had a heart bypass a few weeks ago, reason why his good leg had issues as they took a vein from it..

Also has 'end stage' kidney failure so on dialsys for the rest of his life, had a transplant that failed.

Thankfully the hospital 'think' they've saved the leg.. *crosses everything*
