It's more expensive here because of all the bad drivers claiming, take a look around at the state of some other vehicles.
I know professional advanced drivers that are paying the same, they don't seem to take anything into consideration in Spain, mind you I'm not sure they do in the Uk either.

I know someone with a brand new Mercedes who only pays 400 euros a year insurance in Spain, that would be a couple of grand in the UK
Insurance is cheaper in Spain because people do not claim as much as in the UK. In the UK people claim if they get bodywork damage, in Spain, people just leave it

It was way way cheaper for me to insure my car in Spain than in was in the Uk. I pay 350 euros here, it was £800 in London for a similar car

Unlike in the Uk I didn't get other quotes or question anything, I did have full breakdown cover too though.
It was Linear Directa that told me there were more claims in Spain, when I asked them why it was so expensive.
I will shop around or tell them I have found cheaper next time
