Happy New Year !
Does anyone have any experience with this insurer ?
They have just quoted me on my old Saab and knocked 90 euros p.a. off Linea Directa's renewal quote.
Not too shabby by any standard !
All replies very welcome.
Thanks in advance.

If you go back to Linea Directa they will almost certainly beat that quote.

I know professional advanced drivers that are paying the same, they don't seem to take anything into consideration in Spain, mind you I'm not sure they do in the Uk either.
I have watched Spanish parking, they don't stop until the car behind moves

Fully comp. I think that should be around 300 euros for any driver.

I have a much much newer prestige vehicle worth quite a lot and only pay that with Linea Directa.
Before your next renewal you should look around for much lower quotes and then get back to Linea Directa and get them to reduce theirs. They are a very good company in my experience.

Last year I got some other quotes and went back to LD and got a 30% reduction.
This year my premium went up from €400 to €470 as I had had a claim.
One 5 minute phone call and it was back to €400.
It's the way they do business - if they can get away with it the premiums are high but they always come down if you ask.
From my experience with 3 claims and also from others on various forums, their claim process is second to none - and that's what you are actually paying for!

I have been very pleased with Linea Direct. This year because I haven´t claimed I have been given loads of extras for free. Would be reluctant to go elsewhere.

Thanks for all your feedback.
Its a 14 year old Saab 9000 LPT and they want 360 euros for 3rd party. Sounds as though I'm being slightly stitched !
I've faxed Linea Directa with a request to lower it or lose it. They also have my motorbike and the house so I'm worth a couple of quid to them.
Interesting that nobody has actually commented on TheInsuranceCentre.net - Coin, Malaga.
I assume nobody uses them - but their quote was 268 euros and quote
"This policy includes green card, break down assistance, windscreen cover, passenger cover and any driver over the age of 25 years."

That's pretty standard cover.
Try phoning LD - it's the quickest way of getting it sorted.
They will give you a better price if you pay by credit/debit card and they will email you the confirmation the same day and post you a proper receipt.

Thanks for that Fred.
I didn't know about the credit/debit card aspect. They have always taken it from our bank.
I faxed them because once before - on my bike insurance - the verbal quote changed when they took the premium. It was only about 5 euros extra but its the principle.
I do like to get things in writing whenever possible - simply for the avoidance of doubt.
I give 'em a day or 2 to respond first, then phone if they don't contact me.

I was with them for a year, I didn't have to claim so can't tell you if they were any good or not though. I didn't renew with them last year as got a much better deal with Ibex

Well what a coincidence - I'm half way through their on-line quote form right now. Thanks.
