Default Tonights snack

Very quiet on here tonight?

What did you snack on while browsing tonight, anything good?

I just chopped a tomatoe and an onion and added some paprika and a touch of sauce and ate it with plain Tortillos.

Yuuuuuuummmmmyyyyyyyy

Trying not to.

Christmas and the New year have a terrifying enough effect on the waistline without adding to it with late night snacks.

Never need to snack at night, we don't eat until around 9pm.

Ha I understand, I 've been very very ill recently and lost 3 stone so I am being a bit of a pig trying to get it back or at least stop more weight going off me,

Tonights snack will be roast chestnuts for a start and probably a fry up Bubble and squeak type of thing with some onion and egg in.

I love food lol and I love food ideas to try from others.

Making me feel hungry now, having had bubble and squeak for ages

Irish Colcannon is similar, some make it into a cake shape.

Kedgeree with peas and cream mixed in and a splash of chilli, or steak with Roquefort sauce?

Speaking to my skype partner in Asturias New Year's Eve, he was staying in, eating in, and the menu was
unos canapes variados
sopa de marisco
cachopo.... (filetes de ternera con un relleno de queso fundido y jamón)
helado y los postres habituales de navidad, turrones, y brindaremos con cava y sidra "El Gaitero".
I nearly invited myself around!

Heinz? That stuff is the pits. It is so vile that the trouble of making your own is as nothing.

Just simmer some tomatoes, a red pepper and a chilli until soft and blend. Stir in can of tom puree, heat and add a drop of cream.

If you feel really decadent, add a couple of small cubes of strong cheese.

I love my food... and should really be the size of a house! Luckily I'm not.

Just picked up a "still hot" couple of baguettes from the local shop and some thick tasty ham. A good healthy smear of Branston, and I was a happy bunny.

Yum!

Elle xx
