There are things about the UK that are rubbish, as there are in every country.

Both of you having moved there seem to need to jump to its defense rather quickly, a bit as in 'Methinks the lady doth protest too much.'

But we, as forum members, cannot possibly point out such errors as it might hurt the feelings of the people who painted it!

Education in the UK is as good as any in the world the problem is that, as probably elsewhere, it is a postcode lottery and certain articles will use the statistics from the bad areas to infer that all of the education in the UK is bad.
From what we have seen of the level of education in Spain, ( local people that have gone through it from infants to university), they are certainly a tad behind the UK. A close friend started university here three years ago and his education level at that point was, being generous, o level at the best.
