it still rankles that the pale ghosts that frequent TIO managed to carry out a survey last year on which forum in BE was the most Racist without telling the winning forum that they had even carried out a vote, let alone told BE Spain they were the winners.


correction - one regular member of BES was involved in it but kept it to himself for fear of upsetting his "friends".

I must confess I've never ever before seen a forum or sub-section of any forum where so many regular posters have their whatsits stuck up their whatsits, as that one, which is why I've previously tended to avoid it like the plague.

However the mods having in their infinite wisdom transferred some of the Spanish based threads up there, I briefly stick my nose in once in a while until such time as the whiff of infinite boredom overpowers me.

I used to pop in there to see how the other time dimension was getting on, but until forced to by maladroit moving of our threads, haven't been there for many months - and it is no better than it used to be

trouble is it is so much living dead there that some of those with a little bit of a heart beat are now coming into more of our threads. Usually with the same attitudes and thread stopping OT postings.

I see the thread that was moved to TIO is slowly dying the death that certain posters want, exchanging nice little one liners between themselves that have noting to do with the thread.

Its funny but in all my lurking I have noticed two distinct things, Those of the right when they debate and are losing it normally turn to abuse, those of the left when they are losing or simply don't like the subject turn to funny quips amongst themselves.

I think you're missing a third group. Those of us who would like to debate the issue but are a teeny bit fed up with the endless banter between a few which adds nothing.
