If you are a Motor Mechanic or a tradesman or similar then you might make a go of it but most people here in Spain are only scratching a living. Cleaning and odd jobs seem to be the order of the day.If youve got plenty of "readies" well ok. but the cost of living is so much higher than it used to be. Be Warned, 2 weeks holiday and living here full time, chalk and cheese. Be lucky.

Sh*t or get off the pot. Dream or Do.
I would say visit & work (try) for 6months, if that works out make the conscious decision to sell up and move - PERIOD.
Don't move and then find out.
Whether it's P.C or not to state I am going to : A lot of failed moves to Spain is in some way or another having a negative effect to a) The Economy b) Your Economy.
Please don't add to it

Your user name has changed a load over the years and the Posts all seem to be along the thread of moving to Spain / this / that / cars etc etc. Did you ever move, what's the dealio here ? Or are you just a compulsive liar and like to integrate into the Forum with Ideas ? I just see all you old Threads under so many different names but the same email address ? Weird to me at least.

HI MR KNOW IT ALL ! i aint got to answer to you , but i cant stand people like you trying to mug people off on here especially me ! im going to set the record straight ! I tried selling my property for about 3 years on and off i finally sold it last year, ive been in motor trade buying selling cars for bout 12 years but got fed up with working long hours and i wanted a massive change in our life so me and my girlfriend decided to move to spain we brought our place about 5 years ago in spain ! But i didnt want to do is move with no income from the uk so what i did was created a income from the uk by buying a commercial property, I refurbished it begin of last year 2009! Which i have now have 5 buisnesses renting / working from there which 1 of the buisness i own on there which is mot testing station ! i now have a income from mot station plus i also have created a rental yield/income from the other tenants so now i CAN go to spain and live off the income ! also MR KNOW IT ALL i have never changed my user name pjj AND as for all my posts about moving to spain and cars etc theres hundreds of people on it posting threads on it so whats your point !!! ive found britishexpats web site really helpfull and i found most of the people on here sound with good advice apart from the odd know it alls like your self who has got nothing better to do that search through all my past posts VERY SAD !!! i dont know where you get off trying to put people down buts its made you look a right twat lol ! on a happy note il be moving to spain soon! i worked very hard to get to this stage in my life it aint been easy or been given too me on a plate but its been all worth while for the end result
