I am providing the sound system, loudspeakers all over the place

Play list to include Crown Imperial by William Walton
and lots of Gilbert and Sullivan (not Gilbert O'Sullivan!)
especially HMS Pinafore
Some Handel to get you onto the dance floor

Then a quick burst of Tina Turner

DJ Dom..... hmmm.

God Save the Queen - Sex Pistols (got to be on the list, no?)
Jerusalem - for WI lovers everywhere, or should I say lovers of the WI everywhere.

Vaughan Williams Variations on a theme by Thomas Tallis - prize for the most boring title of a spiritually and emotionally uplifting piece of Englishness......

anyone other suggestions?

Coronation Scot - original 1938 version
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cI9R3JEr7ys
later version with intro by the composer
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nyJi0...eature=related
and yes it is the theme for Paul Temple

regretfully I will not be able to get the tracks laid in time to bring out the model of the Coronation Scot for rides around the estate.

but my projector will be putting out visuals on all these along with

For all those living in Gib, I would suggest RULE BRITANNIA with all speakers turned up to full whack.

Seems like most ppl. couldn't care a toss according to this msn website survey.

How are you celebrating the Queen's diamond jubilee?

9 % I'm going to a street party

4 % I'm going to a local festival

1 % I'm watching the lighting of a beacon

1 % I'm going to a special religious service

19 % I'm watching it on television

0 % I'm listening to it on the radio

1 % I'm following it online

65 % I'm not doing anything at all
