Definitely agree with that. Or....as the reason goes....to keep Spain more Spanish. The latter is not neccessarily / always a bad thing IMO. Just keep it fair..? |

Not necessarily a bad thing especially for those living in Spain, but possibly a bad thing for the once a year mainly Brit tourists ,many of whom are gonna say "bugger this for a game of soldiers, there are plenty of other destinations where we are free to fully enjoy whatever type of nightime entertainment we prefer".
I personally don't go to Spain for Blackpool with sunshine but yes I understand that a lot of people do. |
Re: Smoking ban AGAIN!!!
I simply can't understand their attitude.
Although I am not a Blackpool in the sun type myself, I have seen resorts such as Benidorm grow with huge amounts of mostly Spanish investment in improved accomodation and infrastructure as well as cleaning the place up quite a lot and improving policing etc. in comparison to the sorry mess it was in, thirty years or so ago. Surely they can see the harm they are doing to the tourist business with such excessively strict controls on ppl.who simply want to let their hair down for a couple of weeks. Possibly they are hoping to redirect them and their money into Spanish bars and pockets. Whilst it might work to a certain extent,I think if they continue, they will in the long term merely redirect many tourists to alternative destinations. |

Perhaps they think they are saving another Benidorm type of place cropping up? Who knows? They work in mysterious ways! |

I was not around when it happened the first time, so for me it will be a first official warning, but as you have been involved in such shennanagins before, it will probably be a sacking offence. |
