Should this worry me?

I think SmartiesUK said he/she was moving to Oasis in Hondon Valley ??
If so then recently the Mayor annouced the names of all the streets on this urb'z. No Evertons, Liverpools or Man U streets I'm afraid... they are all to be called after cities or towns in Alicante Region... so Avenida del Elda, Avenida del Torrevieja, etc.... pity if you get Benidorm Avenue !!!
The Mayor also says the road signs have been designed but don;t know when they will go up. So ask a neighbour what they use until these signs go up.
As for post the Nieves Village has a very small run-down post room (far too small for the mass influx of Ex-Pats and Dutch BUT so quaint) - open from 8.30 to 10 , 6 days a week - the girl in there is Brilliant - seems to see you once and remember your name. Post is delayed/slow and can take 5 to 8 days from UK - Seems quicker TO the UK though. No Postmen/women.
As for Internet - depends where you are but choice is limited and about 90% reliable and the best you can hope for is 1MB speed at about 35Euros month. Get a SKYPE account or a SKYPE number (only 1.5 per minute to call UK landline) - Try here : SKYPE DEMO .
And parcel/goods delivery is another game all together but the ex-pats communities are gradually getting known by the local traders / superstores in Elche. ... you gotta smile
