Re: Royal Wedding
Victoria Beckham looked as miserable as sin, not even a hint of a smile, David looked good though.

Now, now Lynnxa are you trying to tell us that if you had been invited that you would not have worn such a creation???????
Best of it is that they think that they look gorgeous. Rosemary sad thing is I don't think I've ever seen them look elegant who on earth advises them - they want shooting:frown: |

Weddings seem to bring out the best and worst in designers, the problem is that people wear them. At least Ascot is a bit of fun.

à hope he comes back in one piece. Do you think Victoria has forgiven him for the Rebecca Loos affair, that could be the reason for her miserable face? |

The coverage on TV is wall to wall, and it doesn't matter which country's television you're watching. I can't remember any other occasion when I've seen so many happy faces on TV. But this is a discussion forum and I'm aware that some people disagree with all this happiness they say they're not going to watch. It reinforces my belief that some people think they're alive because they walk about with a beating heart and display all the other functions of life. But there's one that's missing they don't know about. It's called soul. I had a little get-together with some other ex-pats to watch the wedding, it was imho very low-key for a Royal Wedding, very tasteful, the bride and groom looked very nervous, and I loved the music and William driving them out of Buck Palace in his dad's Aston Martin, stylish or what. Just a quick question: I know that Prince William is Guillermo in Spanish. What is Harry? Do they call him Harry or Enrique (Henry, his real name)? |

He is called Enrique in Spain, which seems so stupid to me, because names cannot be translated. I don't know if other non-native English speaking countries do this, namely France, Germany or Italy, or if they use the correct name of the person in question. |

Re: Royal Wedding
Whilst I'm no great fan of the Royals, I'm pleased for all concerned that it appears to have gone so well, not only for those in London, but at all the street parties and celebrations throughout the country and elsewhere.
It seems to have created a tremendous feel good factor Worldwide which can do nothing but good, and has gone with such a clockwork precision that even the Germans would have been proud of. The highlight for many seems to have been the couples drivepast in the Aston Martin. However for me it was, as always the flyover by the Lanc, Spit and Hurricane and the sweetest most moving sound in the World of those Rolls Royce Merlins which meant so much to so many in years gone by, and hopefully always will. |
