A huge % will watch out of curiosity, who don't support them at all.

I watched 5 minutes just to see the brides dress but have seen and heard nothing else because I am just not interested.

Maybe, on the other hand I would imagine that most of those opposed would have switched to another channel and as O Leary would say all publicity is good publicity.

Agree, I didn't watch, same as I never watch soaps, or trash like Benidorm, because I have no interest whatsoever in it, but if I switched on to watch any of them, it would because I was interested. Like you, I can't see staunch anti royalist sitting down for hours to watch something they have no interest in. And 16m on one channel alone is a lot of curious viewers.

Most Spanish I have spoken to seem to look back on it as the highlight of their week, as against what was supposed to be their own showpiece at the Bernabeu.
However honour was restored somewhat today with their one,two in the Moto GP at Estoril.

It did say (I think on BBC?) that the figure reached 38 million if counting the ones who only watched part of it. I watched all the arrivals until the service started but that was enough for me.

What do people think to those large trees in the Abbey? I thought they would have been better in a shopping Mall.

I tend to agree with the commentators that they brought a springtime freshness and warmth to the more harsh stonework features of the interior of the Abbey.
No doubt they can be returned to the shopping mall or whence they cometh now the shows all over.

My favourite was the cartwheeling priest
They should all have had to do that, would have been so much more interesting

Don't know about the cartwheeling priest, but looking at all those young choir boys on display I imagine it would be compulsive viewing for the Catholic priests. :sneaky:

Well at least they were represented, there were 3 of the Spanish royals there.

IMO both the sisters looked absolutely dreadful...even worse than they normally look and that's saying something. I saw an interview with Fergie...she said at least she was able to take her daughters to Rome to help choose their outfits for the wedding. No wonder they looked like they'd just dropped out of a pantomime.

I reckon you could have done better at Primark.

They looked dead ringers for the ugly sisters in Cinderella.
