did he compile them over the last couple of years to drop as an atomic bomb as he felt he was being investigated too deeply.?
How did he have €22million in Switzerland that has only just come to light because of an arrangement between Revenue offices??

there is every chance this is a dirty thief implicating innocent people - so just because he has floated paperwork has shifted the onus on to others to prove their innocence. But it doesnt detract from his guilt.

The bailout went straight to the banks! And who do you think benefits from that? Ever heard of Rodrigo Rato, that well-known "man of the people"?

The business of handouts and illegal backhanders was one of the things Baltazar Garzón was investigating but the PP got their back-room boys to declare the evidence illegal as it was obtained through wire-taps, and got shot of Garzón. They have the judiciary in their pockets, so they are now raising law suits all over the place knowing it will take years to sort out. Meanwhile they will carry on wrecking the country's economy (at least till 2015 when someone else will take over ...)

The Rato clan are infamous here in Oviedo. They are very rich but were so even before Rodrigo stole all that money. Another case of the rich stealing from the poor. They also own Fuensanta mineral water

There needs to be a major change in the political systems. If Rajoy and the PP falls what is the alternative, the PSOE. the very ones who messed up. Same as in the UK. Cameron is rubbish but who in their right minds would vote Milliband and his cronies back in.

!Vivan los indignados!

I was speaking to an indignado last week who spent a month at the camp in Barcelona. She said the problem (as always) with the indignados that they are all very leftish, but fragmanted.

So the anarchists dont want what the communisits want, who dont want what the women's groups want, who dont want what the youth groups want, who dont want what the regionalists want etc etc. So they can't agree on a single policy.

Reminds of the Spanish civil war, some things never change!

I believe that to receive donations is legal (this would have to confirm it) but what you say, mainly what there is here is treatment of favor

What is lamentable is that in Spain there are people that trusts in the current political parties, and fight for the politicians, so when these people (mainly the PSOE, that has brought the ruin twice to the country) has not made nothing by the country in 30 years. This is the problem. A certain sector of people of this country still trusts the politicians, mainly the two big parties. When these people (that votes to the same parties every 4 years) it changes idea, and see that the country can only prosper with other people but mainly with a new, fairrer and democratic system (open elections, separation of powers, limit of mandate, etc) then we will have advanced something

Good points there lampy. More checks and balances. Seems that power and money corrupts normally honest people

About Rajoy, donations maybe legal but he didn't declare them!

Correct, it's not only the corruption but the sheer waste on things that have been built, or half built and just left to rot. This video tells us nothing new really, apart from the actual amount of money wasted, the scale of the waste is incredible. The Spanish themselves (most of them!) don't have a problem recognising and highlighting the problems.

They reckon 70% of the Barcenagate donations were illegal because they were over the 60k € limit or came from companies who were banned from donating i.e. those with current government contracts.

It's amazing that Spain have wasted so much money and yet their national debt is still lower than the UK's despite having to pay much higher interest rates than the UK

I'm not turning this into a competition, but it is an important piece of context

One reason could be they had billions out of Europe whilst the UK put billions in Also they don't have the benefit system to fund that the UK has.

It was ever thus with the Left - remember the film "Life of Brian" and the People's Popular Front of Judea versus the Judean Popular People's Front et al?
