You don't have to pay for an NIE or an EU resident certificate.

You don't get the actual piece of paper if you don't pop round to the bank with the receipt and pay €6.50, the bank then stamp it and you take it back to the office for the NIE certificate.

Yes you do - tax One is €9 and the other I think €6.80
