No, he is not famous.
He is coming with his wife and they are rehoming a dog to the UK, they are coming to collect him. The people throwing the party are ardent dog-lovers, so they are giving the dog a send-off.
The dog is the REAL guest of honour (and I don't suppose he will like the smoke either!).
I don't think they will respect his wishes, they will just think he is making a fuss about nothing. However, one could try I suppose.
[B]The last party we went to there, not only was the place a smoke-filled fug, but some people were smoking pot!

You do realize that smoking pot is far better for you than smoking tobacco ?? Or are you one of those who thinks pot is a dangerous drug ?

I never thought of this downside to the "no smoking" in enclosed areas, but it brings a smile to my face...........
Clubs have started giving out free deoderant to people, as the stench of stale sweat has now replaced that of cigarettes.
Previously, it wasn't noticeable and yes the Spanish are a smelly bunch, not just the men either.

Now the sprays they do for clubs to hide the stench of sweat is seemly bad for those with asthma too.

Hi, you associate funny farm with pot and cigarettes with cancer. I can understand the latter, but the former ? How on earth can pot and a psychiatric institution have any relevant association with one another ?

I don't think it is particularly dangerous, but I do think that heavy smokers of pot eventually do their heads in, I have met several.
And unlike smoking tobacco, it is illegal (It's not been legalised yet, has it?).
