Moving to Benidorm

Re: Moving to Benidorm
There are a few ugly spots in Spain, but I think Benidorm tops the list. It's been a few years ago, but I doubt they knocked down the skyscrapers. Anyone know if they ever completed this building, it says 2014?

Re: Moving to Benidorm
That might be expensive for Benidorm but actually is lower than usual for a new build 2 bed flat in Madrid, Barcelona, San Sebastian, Marbella, or even here in the centre of Oviedo

Re: Moving to Benidorm
I read a bit about it a couple of years back. Seems to have been a complete shambles, so bad in fact that the so called architects mainly responsible for the chaos, resigned.
Obviously easy to make mistakes, but to plan lift shafts only capable of servicing a twenty story building into the plans of a forty seven floor skyscraper is beyond belief.

You're only 21 and nothing to lose. You might get lucky and find a job, who knows?
If your prepared to flat share or rent a room somewhere you could live quite cheaply. If you don't find a job straight away there are lots of organisations you could probably volunteer at which would help you network and improve your job prospects.
If it doesn't work out then fine, put it down to experience and move on.
Good luck

Re: Moving to Benidorm
Hi, I moved to Benidorm last September and so far enjoyed every day. Many, many businesses have closed down and no new ones opening. The bars and restaurants here are very cheap to eat and drink in because there is so much competition.
It's a renters market with apartments with plenty of cheap 1 beds to choose from.
Luckily I am retired and don't need to work. I think you will be struggling to find any type of work here. But anyway best of luck.
