The only advice I think might be relevant to the whole situation, apart from endorsing the rent for a while before buying anything, is that if I could afford, say, 200,000 Euros - I wouldn't buy a place for that and thus put all my money into that one place. I'd cut it down by maybe a third or so and see what is available for that price - leaving me with a bit of a cushion.
Maybe too cautious, but that is me.

Thanks for your reply , we would probably spend half of that anyway to buy a property.

Hi everyone!
