I was amazed that the rule of you must 'wear' a crash helmet, doesn't mean it has to be worn on your head
most youngsters wear them on their wrists, surely this is a loop hole that needs closing..

The rule DOES require a helmet to be worn (on the head). These kids think they are being cool by not wearing them but keep them close to hand so that, when they see the police, they can quickly put them on, requiring the authorities to prove that they were riding without a helmet. The relative 'cool-ness' continues here, despite the recent tragic accident involving a youngster who had his helmet around his wrist. Said wrist survived unscathed. However the less said about the head, the better ...
