She had been involved in other businesses before and was fully aware of what was involved in this case.
The bar she singled out,she already knew very well and one of the big advantages was that it was the only bar on a sizeable complex with no serious competition close by.
I mucked in a bit myself at busy times and quite enjoyed the experience.
Her biggest hurdle was sorting out the numerous legalities and red tape which took quite a while to complete.
It was a fair bit of work and quite a few late nights though we never needed to open up early on a morning except for deliveries.
The bar was full almost every night and a few side attractions helped pull in the punters.
She ran it quite successfully for three or four years which is all she originally intended before selling it on at a profit to one of a number of prospective buyers who likewise were aware of its potential.
I could give other examples of ppl I knew who had great success in similar businesses but likewise they were well experienced and knew the businesses and what they were all about very well before jumping in.

As a matter of interest the lady friend of mine who had thoughts about going into the bra business decided instead to run a bar, as much for the experience and satisfaction of doing it successfully as for any other reason.

presumably you will get all the permissions and thingys handed over with the bar so plenty of time to get down the beach every day, only need to be open for a few hours in the evening.
presume the beer comes in on a regular basis cos they know how much we use, same for the food so its all sorted
saw some advertised in the small ads of Ideal in Granada, theres lots of tourists there so things will be really humming.

The cases I refer to happened long before the present crisis and how well or badly those same businesses are doing now I haven't a clue.

I'd buy a finca in the middle of nowhere and set up a School of Rock.
Rich parents can send their kids there for a week or two, to make as much noise as they like.
I would hire retired rock stars to come and give them lessons and have a nice relaxing holiday at the same time.
I would live in a soundproofed house several km away!

On the down side I don't think it would be too long before your soundproof house became an open air concert hall after being hit with a barrage of rocks through the windows and roof.

Has it never crossed your mind that many folk live out in the country for very good reasons, such as peace and quiet for instance ???
Do you know just how far sound can travel over open countryside ?
I can hear the racket at fiesta time from various villages several kms away which is not so bad once in a while, but to have it blasting away almost nonstop all year round may just upset a few folk incl. myself and have them round your house PDQ to return the favour.

Is it OK if we build a giant sound proof dome over the whole place? I'm sure Domino can fix that!
