Just curious regarding the two grades of diesel here. A and B I presume one has a lesser tax as in the UK. Is that only for agricultural use or other commercial purposes ? |

At full revs they don't and tend to be fairly similar, but at lower revs they do, as per more torque for the diesel.

Gasoleo B is for non highway commercial vehicles such as excavators ,tractors etc,you need a special bank account and debit card to buy the stuff , it`s dyed red and is around 30 to 40% cheaper than gasoleo A. |

Petrol engines far out perform diesels in horse power and can can be tuned to do so for torque as well, look up variable cam timing etc, hence you don't see diesel engines Aston Martins or Ferrari`s ,

Diesel job is much the same as in the UK then, though the tax on the UK red has increased a lot to what it used to be,if it used to be taxed at all. The red was virtually peanuts at one time. |

I had a quick look at a couple of other municipalities and the bands are the same. However, even though the amounts obviously vary, there is no correlation between the bands.
For example, In Almunecar the 12-16 band is €143 and in Malaga it is €134 but the next band, 16-20 is the same in both places - €167:confused::confused: Hopefully they will change over to an emissions based system soon. |
