Exactly my view. I only 'rediscovered' British TV via UKNova just before it was shut down; then discovered I could download and watch at my leisure from the box or via a proxy. If any of that is 'illegal' it is the service provider's problem, not mine.

I've paid shameful amounts of taxes in plenty of places, especially the UK, and frankly I don't believe I'm "entitled" to any of it. But then again, I'm unique in that I've paid my own way all of my life, and therefore, haven't had the need to consume any of the "entitlements" I paid for.

On the other hand, I'd argue that YOU are "entitled" to much of what I paid in the UK. You're welcome.

It's still OK on the iPad app. Full screen and the ability to beam it to the TV using the Apple TV box. The quality is also much better than the browser version.

OK that could change but in the app world charges are usually very much lower.

The newspapers have been full recently of huge bills being run up by IPAD users not realising the costs of roaming and some apps. Could turn out to be expensive TV viewing for the unwary.

FilmOn SD is free, it's the HD version you pay for.
Before you say I'm wrong, I use the SD version when I'm out of the house, to record programs that I would oherwise miss (I recorded the film 'White Mischief'
on Wednesday night!).

By the way, did your 'Shut Down' services become UN SHUDOWN?
