I heard recently from a local 'source' that the La Cabra will not open in CE.
It was always a rumour, great one as it was - So is this post - as 'who really knows' ....
Apparently a deal was done and at the last minute the seller changed the terms - asking more dosh - but who knows!
That leaves the other rumour that a new villa will create a small private Thai resto in a separate room. Lets see! I love Thai food so will be excited at the possibility
Looking forward to taking the bus into town, stopping on the way for a swim at the water park, then a few pre-lunch drinks at the Marina and a Michelin lunch overlooking the luxury yachts on the 2nd biggest (and deepest) marina in Spain..... on the way back stopping at the health centre portacabin for some anti-acid! Well great if we can believe the pre-election blurb of the debt-ridden town hall!
Don't hold your breath

Hi I received an email about the Party on Saturday 6/12/14 from 8pm
Reservations essential
All Inclusive food and drinks and music for 18Euros, and the food looks good (the Tuna Adobo is very nice there and the pork steaks have had a good review on the forum - though I haven't tried them yet)
I think they will close after this party - till the New Year.. but this is not 100% certain, just what I have heard 'on the street'
In case you aren't on their mailing list here is the advert we got in email attached.
Jon
PS For the (e.g) Belgians and the Dutch 6 December is a big Xmas day, where eg kids get presents (more than on 25th) and 'Sint Niklaas' is seen passing out gifts..... so its 'OK' to have a party then.... (as if we need an excuse here on the very social scene on CE
) Also Xmas eve is 'bigger' than Xmas day over there.
So we can celebrate 6/12, 24/12, 25/12, 31/12, 1/1.. and of course Kings Day 6/1!! Next year we must update the party calendar for Ramadan, Eid, Hanukah and Lord Buddah's birthday. .. additions always welcome

That's very strange Jon, not sure where 'on the street' you have heard that but according to Amalia they are only closed Xmas Day & NY's Day. They are also doing a NY's Eve do that is advertised here http://costaesuriresidents.com/newsletter-and-social-activities.php regards Bryony
Hi Bryony - as you know in CE the 'street' has many turns and diversions!
Rumours abound over here... on all subjects

At the GC last night - where we saw each other from afar - we were at the bar (with a local resto owner/manager, looking for a chef) discussing the fact that the 19H chef (Shamo (sp) ) has been given notice. He himself told me, last week, that he would be let go and was looking for work. He is a good chef and Amalia, Jose Manuel and we agree on that. So (I suppose/deduce) he's not being fired. We also spoke w/JM a couple of times, in the past couple of weeks, who told us he was considering a closure, due to lack of business.
We think the best place on CE is the terrace at midday / afternoon on a nice day, truly a 'Vista Verde' and we purposely go there to give them business. Recently 3 times when, the weather was nice, even though we were alone on the terrace.
We feel its 'use it or lose it'. I've even heard that it will be closed for THREE months (which I discount - and hope is just further 'CE hogwash')
I hope they stay open and provide a full service over the low season.

That's why I was careful to mention that it was a rumour and I was not 100%.
Lets wait-and-see (something we are all used to doing on CE!) - so don't believe all you hear on CE

Hi BB
Well we are Mills and Boon! (Or the epitome of them)
We know what happened after that electrifying ‘look from afar’... And when we write it up, what a scorcher ... and what a page-turner that will be! Move aside 50 shades !
JM
PS
BB = Bryony Boon
JM = Jon Mills

Oh dear I'm done for.... Mikes much bigger than me
And he' got a 5 'wood'!!!
