I used to have one of the old tank Cortinas, around much the same time as JDR's Granada. Was a hell of a car .... people got out of the way when they saw you coming

Zephyr V6 anyone? My dad created a personal best London-Taunton in some extraordinary (for 1963) time with me on board - a mere stripling, no doubt not wearing a seatbelt, probably perched a la Spanish kids round here, in mid-car watching the driving antics

I'm surprised it lasted this long.

They were forecast to fall apart due to the sharp folds in the bodywork
