Hola, Classic Ford lovers
Hi,
My partner and I are thinking of moving to Spain with our two children in the next 12 - 24 months. We have looked at and like Tarragona in the Catalonia area. My partner is a Classic Ford enthusiast, are there any other Classic Ford lovers out there at all? We have found it difficult to find anything for Spain on the internet search engines. Would love to hear from you. Yvonne |

But explain why you are writing in English usually the mods will understand. There is also one covering Galicia and that sometimes has nice information to meetings in other parts of Spain. http://nuestrosclasicos.mforos.com/forums/ What classic have you got? |
Re: Hola, Classic Ford lovers
Hi, thanks for your reply. My partner has had a brief look and found a couple of chaps he will contact.
At the moment we have a MKII 2L S Capri and MKII Escort Zakspeed replica race car. He has built rally cars and restores classic fords as a living but is also his passion. What we would like to do is start up a restoration and rally car buliding business in Spain but we're not sure if there is a need for it to be honest. So we're up for a bit of research. :fingerscrossed: Yvonne :D |

Re: Hola, Classic Ford lovers
In Spain anything over 25 years old can have a historical registration.
But you may find you will have difficulty registering the car if it has had any modifications done to it. As a lot of posters know I have an Austin Westminster, this had no modifications, but as it was the only one in Spain I had a bit of trouble getting the right information which is needed for various documents.:frown: That is not to say it is not possible, however it is bloody difficult. I thought that any mechanic has to be licensed to as I see a plaque outside all the garages around here. But that maybe only in this area. Someone will be along to tell you what is what. Mk 2 Capri, thought of Minder come up here! |
