It seems that nobody can advise the OP how to proceed with her plans because they are just not possible in the post Brexit world. That is why UK nationals should have been properly informed and told exactly what losing FoM would really mean. Sending out a daft leaflet telling people FoM would end in the event of a Leave vote was not enough, it needed to be spelt out in intricate detail.

The best advice so far is get an Irish passport.

Would have made very little difference, hardly anybody cares about FOM outward in the UK, read the stats on how many took it up. You obviously have a big problem with Brexit and ending of FOM, that's your prerogative, but that doesn't mean everyone does, in the UK, especially away from expat forums. far from it.

I will now close this thread as some members have very helpfully given them the facts of how to go about gaining a Visa in order to live in Spain. I suggest that the OP ignores all of the discussions on how Brexit came about and concentrate on what it actually means now that it is a fact.

Members who wish to continue to debate about the rights and wrongs of Brexit should do so in The Lounge or Take it Outside as is is not fair to posters to have their threads used in this manner.
