Look on the bright side - if the ferry couldn't get into port because of the strong winds which slowed it down then they may get to Spain quicker providing the wind is blowing in the right direction

it might get there a bit earlier than that, though depends on how bad the seas are on the way down past France. Someone said this boat goes whale watching?? and thats why it takes longer on the way down than on the way back up again.

I feel sorry for those that are on it for the mini cruise, they'll just be heading straight back on the ferry again on the way home without seeing spain because the mini cruise break has organised coach tours when it lands in bilbao at 8am on the wednesday and then back on the ship for 6pm to head back.. if the ship doesnt get to bilbao till 6pm on wednesday then.. oh dear

Let us know when you hear from him again. I doubt theres a mobile signal at sea but there is a satellite phone on board!

If when i go, the ship decides to be hurrendously late, then im getting a refund, heading for the channel tunnel and driving it.. nothing will stop me getting to spain!!

Hope he's got the snow chains ready for when they hit northern Spain.
It was looking pretty bad on this evenings news.

Yes, was talking yesterday to a friend whose husband is a HGV driver and was going over to the UK with a load, he woke up yesterday morning in northern Spain to find 2ft long icicles on the outside of his cab, and he had to find a different way to go. He managed to get going, but no more than 15 mph..
