At last - thought this day would never arrive. The van is all packed and we are ready to roll. On the way to Portsmouth for the Bilbao ferry. After the last few hectic days we are looking forward to a nice relaxing 36hrs on the boat. Then the pace picks up again as we drive down to our new home between Gandia & Oliva. We have to unload then get the van back to the depot just south of Alicante by mid day Mon.
It will all have been worth it though, when we stroll through the village to our local bar on Mon evening. Hope the weather has improved because I hear that it has been pretty rotten since our last visit over, 10 days ago.
Also looking forward to our meet up in the Caves, in June.

Hi Everyone,
We arrived Sunday tea time after driving through the hail storm and lightening in the mountains. We unloaded the van straight into the garage and took it back yesterday. We can just take everything upstairs as we need it. We are both aching in places we didn´t know we had.
Tony´s NIE had been collected whilst we were in England but they wouldn´t let the lady have mine as she didn´t know my middle name, so we have to go and queue again to collect it.
Have ordered phone and internet of telefonica and they promise to have it in within 15 days so have to rely on internet cafe untl then.
And yes Sam he´s still after mine.

Carol.

If telefonica is as food in your area as it is in ours you will be fixed up and running smoothly very quickly.
Good Luck in your new home.

Glad all went well for you. Taking things in gradually is an excellent idea, somehow things get straighter quicker that way.

Thanks Rosemary, You were right about Telefonica. They came today, and sorted everything. The guy worked like a trojan. He had to run a cable from the end of the street, then another into the house. Even the actual internal wiring to the phone sockets had to be done again as the 'electricians' had made a mess ofit. When he left we had a working phone and wifi system, not like BT in the UK where they give you the bits and leave you to it. Full marks for Telefonica !!!!
