I would like to live in a nice urbanization town house with garden, with own dip pool or communal pool. near to shops and beach for the dog. so any areas people know off would be great.

Does anyone know if they are very strict on renting properties if the tenants have dogs.
My dog does not moult or smell

we did know some people who had a landlord put the rent up when he discovered they had a labrador - even though there was nothing in the contract about pets

Selwo Park is a bit out in the middle of nowhere.
Not very residential.
No shops nearby or the beach.
What about the town San Pedro? It is very residential and plently of shops and good schools.
I love San Pedro and it will be even better if they sort out the coast road. You can walk to the beach too. Handy for Marbella and Estepona.
Plus they have a paseo so your dog can walk along.

depends on the agent really, but if you are looking at the costa del sol, there are LOADS of properties lying empty and i would think as long as your dog is "clean" (hopefully you realise what i mean, i am sure your dog is lovely, didnt know how to word that diplomatically!!), then i am sure a lot of rental agents would be cool with it as long as the rent gets paid, a lot of them are pretty desperate.

but deffo avoid los boliches, and also benalmadena. many of the snobbier expats refer to those places as "british council estates in the sun" and those areas are frequently shown on shows like "costa del street crime". (NOT MY OPINION BY THE WAY!) A mate of mine lives in los boliches and constantly tells me about the algerian drug pushers, african prostitutes, drunk limey p***heads etc etc, so doesnt really sound very nice, although i guess some people like that????
A shame really as these areas do have SOME nice people and nice houses, you just have to look a bit harder in those areas. try looking at www.kyero.com ive always found that really good for properties to rent.....

What a load of crap, it may be a bit rough down 24 hour square, but then what do you expect with a name like that.
Fantasy tv shows, well we all know about seriously edited tv shows don`t we, as soon as the cameras roll so do the idiots.
I am about Los Boliches quite a bit and have yet to see drug pushers and prostitutes along there.
The worst i have seen are the looky looky men with their handbags, dvds and the Chinese with their stupid bloody flashing earrings.
Oh yeah and the Spanish guy that plays the accordian.
When you are in the area call me up and you can show me the spouted crap.
