I think for everyone when sorting out schools, there's alot of legwork and paperwork.
the low income/sick parent/orphan/single parent/familia numerosa etc. form (around here anyway) is for a grant towards costs of school supplies

some of my dd's friends parents filled it in

she asked me why I didn't bother when they are clearly richer than us - I said it wasn't worth it - I knew we didn't qualify

guess what?

neither did they!

- in fact one family had a lot of questions re the source of their income/tax payments etc asked of them subsequently


opened a right can of worms.......................
